DEBESMSCAT Ink MOA with Liceo de Masbate for the BMEYLS 2025

On February 27, 2025, an exciting new chapter unfolded as DEBESMSCAT President, Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, alongside Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, Dr. Rodolfo B. Burac Jr,officially inked the memorandum of agreement with Liceo de Masbate. This landmark partnership marks a significant step forward in fostering environmental leadership among the youth.

The collaboration between these two esteemed institutions is set to create a dynamic platform for emerging environmental leaders. The agreement lays the foundation for hosting the 3rd Bicol & 8 Masbate Environmental Youth Leaders Summit (BMEYLS) scheduled for April 2025. This summit is poised to bring together young minds passionate about sustainable development, environmental advocacy, and community innovation.

Empowering Future Leaders: By joining forces, DEBESMSCAT and Liceo de Masbate are committed to nurturing a new generation of environmental champions.

Ladies and gentlemen,

As the newly-installed SUC President of DEBESMSCAT, I am truly humbled and honored to assume this role. It is my goal in my 4-year term to share with you my vision and advocacy, which centers around the power of unity and collaboration, embodied by the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Leadership, to me, is not about commanding from the top or solely relying on individual brilliance. It is about recognizing the immense potential within each member of our institution and harnessing that collective strength to achieve remarkable things. True leadership requires humility, the ability to listen, learn, and empower others.

As we embark on this journey together, my aim is to cultivate an environment where every member of DEBESMSCAT feels valued, respected, and inspired to contribute their best. Together, we can achieve more than any one person could on their own.

I firmly believe that by fostering a culture of teamwork, we can overcome challenges, spark innovation, and bring about transformative change. Each of us possesses unique talents and perspectives that, when combined, form a powerful force for progress.
