DEBESMSCAT Delegates Join 2025 SUC-ACAP Biennial Conference in Bohol

August 27 to 29, 2025 – The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) proudly participated in the 2025 SUC-ACAP Biennial Conference and General Assembly, held at the Metro Center Hotel, Tagbilaran City, Bohol.

Leading the DEBESMSCAT delegation was SUC President Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, joined by Dr. Rodolfo B. Burac Jr., Vice President for Research, Development, Extension, Innovation, Creative Works, and Knowledge Management, and Dr. Donata L. Valler, Dean of the College of Agriculture.

Organized by the State Universities and Colleges – Association of Colleges of Agriculture in the Philippines (SUC-ACAP, Inc.) in partnership with Bohol Island State University (BISU), this year’s conference carried the theme “Future-Proofing Agriculture Education: Fostering Smart, Sustainable, and Inclusive Agriculture.”

Dr. Arnel B. Millesca was elected as Committee Chair for Curriculum and Instruction of SUC-ACAP. His election reflects strong confidence in his leadership and vision to advance agricultural higher education in the country.

The biennial event served as a vital platform for SUC-ACAP member institutions, agricultural experts, and professionals to discuss pressing issues in agricultural higher education. It also aimed to strengthen academe-industry partnerships, promote innovative strategies, and build resilience in agricultural education.

Through collaborative exchanges, the conference underscored the importance of capability-building, re-skilling, and innovation to prepare the next generation of agriculture professionals. By fostering sustainability and inclusivity, SUC-ACAP continues to play a crucial role in advancing agricultural competitiveness in the Philippines.
