February 16, 2024 – Dr. Arnel B. Millesca and other College Officials joined the RODEO 2024 Festival Kick Off Ceremony in Masbate City to show support for the upcoming Rodeo Festival in the province in April, 2024. This year’s festival kick-off, with its dynamic motorcade and spirited ceremony, promises an unforgettable celebration of Masbate’s rodeo culture, setting the stage for a festival that is more thrilling than ever before.

DEBESMSCAT and Rodeo Masbateño Incorporated (RMI) further strengthened their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOU). This ceremony, taking place after the kick-off of the 28th Rodeo Festival 2024, marked a significant milestone in the collaboration between academia and community-based organizations aimed at promoting agricultural and socio-economic advancement in Masbate.

The MOA signing, symbolizing a shared vision for the future, commits to leveraging the synergy between DEBESMSCAT’s academic expertise and RMI’s cultural influence. This year’s Rodeo Festival, DEBESMSCAT will hold its first ever IRODEO (international Research Opportunities, Development and Extension Outcomes) Conference on April 10-12 alongside with the Rodeo Festival celebration. The IRODEOcon 2024 targets international and local participants to join the conference and also enjoy the vibrant and unique Rodeo culture of Masbate.

Ladies and gentlemen,

As the newly-installed SUC President of DEBESMSCAT, I am truly humbled and honored to assume this role. It is my goal in my 4-year term to share with you my vision and advocacy, which centers around the power of unity and collaboration, embodied by the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Leadership, to me, is not about commanding from the top or solely relying on individual brilliance. It is about recognizing the immense potential within each member of our institution and harnessing that collective strength to achieve remarkable things. True leadership requires humility, the ability to listen, learn, and empower others.

As we embark on this journey together, my aim is to cultivate an environment where every member of DEBESMSCAT feels valued, respected, and inspired to contribute their best. Together, we can achieve more than any one person could on their own.

I firmly believe that by fostering a culture of teamwork, we can overcome challenges, spark innovation, and bring about transformative change. Each of us possesses unique talents and perspectives that, when combined, form a powerful force for progress.
