SIKLAB 2026 Caps Two-Day Training, Strengthens DEBESMSCAT Student Leadership

Igniting the Spark for Inclusive and Transformative Governance continued to enhance the leadership capabilities of the Supreme Student Council (SSC) and College Student Council officers of DEBESMSCAT through sessions focused on effective student governance and organizational management.

Participants attended discussions on Secretarial Duties: Minutes and Narrative Reports and Financial and Liquidation Reports, which emphasized proper documentation, transparency, and accountability in managing student organizations.

To reinforce the discussions, participants engaged in workshops where they applied the concepts presented by preparing minutes, narrative reports, and financial reports. In the afternoon, facilitators conducted a calibration of outputs before participants presented their completed work, providing an opportunity to showcase their learning and receive constructive feedback.

The two-day leadership training concluded with closing remarks, highlighting the participants’ active engagement and commitment throughout the program. The sessions equipped student leaders with practical knowledge and skills that will help them effectively manage their respective organizations and implement programs that promote responsible and inclusive student leadership.

SIKLAB 2026 was organized by the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS) through the Student Organizations and Leadership Training Services (SOLTS) Unit, led by Unit Head Ms. Mary Ane-Joy P. Ferriol, as part of DEBESMSCAT’s continuing commitment to developing competent, responsible, and service-oriented student leaders.
