GUIDELINES AND PROCESS FOR THE APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION OF NEW AND TRANSFER STUDENTS FOR A.Y. 2024-2025

I. TIMELINE OF ACTIVITIES

II. ELIGIBLE APPLICANTS

  1. Grade 12 (Senior High School) Graduating Students from Public and Private Secondary Schools duly recognized by the Government.
  2. Grade 12 (Senior High School) graduates who have not taken any college degree.
  3. Transferee from any Public and Private CHED Recognized Higher Education Institutions (HEI’s)

III. APPLICATION FOR COLLEGE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

A. GRADE 12 (Senior High School) Graduating Student

  • Accomplished Online Application for Admission
  • Original certification as a graduating Grade 12 senior high school student duly signed by the Principal/School Head
  • 1 photocopy of S.F. 9/ High School Report Card (1st sem. only)
  • 2 recent 2×2 photos with a white background and nametag

B. GRADE 12 (Senior High School) Graduate

  • Accomplished Online Application for Admission
  • 1 photocopy of S.F. 9/High School Report Card (1st semester and 2nd semester)
  • 2 recent 2×2 photos with a white background and nametag

C. Transfer Students

  • Accomplished Online Application for Admission
  • Authenticated photocopy of Official Transcript of Records (TOR) or Certification of Grades from the school last attended
  • 2 pcs. recent 2×2 photos with a white background and nametag

IV. GENERAL GUIDELINES

  1. The DEBESMSCAT College Entrance Test (DCET) is to be conducted by the Guidance Office this Academic Year 2024-2025, from March to June 2024.
  2. The Applicant for Admission to DEBESMSCAT shall pass the Entrance Examination and the Guidance Officer will post the list of passers to the official FB Page of the Guidance Office (Search for FB Page: Debesmscat Guidance and Admission Services).
  3. The different colleges will conduct their specific mode of assessment within the specified schedule of assessment per college and shall issue to the applicant passer a Certification for Admission to the Program, to be presented upon enrolment.
  4. The Applicant for the College of Education shall have obtained a General Wei ghted Average (GWA) of 85% and above from Grade 12 and 88% and above in Mathematics and Science Subjects for the College of Engineering, regardless of the GWA obtained for the First and Second Semester of Grade 12.
  5. Applicants who did not meet the grade requirement and failed in the assessment set by the College of the priority course will choose from the second or third priority courses.
  6. The Application for College Admission form is accessible online or to be secured at the Admission and Registration Office.
  7. The Applicant shall submit the accomplished application form with complete requirements from January 18, 2024 to March 8, 2024 at the Admission and Registration Office.
  8. Failure to submit the complete requirements for the Application for Admission as scheduled is a ground for denying the Application for Admission.
