President Millesca Urges Ethical AI Use, Study Discipline at DEBESMSCAT Engineering Event

January 22, 2016 – SUC President III Dr. Arnel B. Millesca highlighted the importance of discipline, ethics, and responsible innovation during the “ARAMON” event of the DEBESMSCAT College of Engineering, which focused on empowering the creative and ethical use of generative artificial intelligence (AI).

In his message, President Millesca encouraged students to study diligently, stressing that while generative AI can support learning, academic excellence remains anchored in hard work, ethical conduct, and critical thinking.

The event focused on the creative and ethical use of generative AI, featuring a session on AI prompt generation by Jonier G. Nierva, an engineering student and CENGCSC IVP, and a discussion on Hour of Conduct and AI Class ASEAN by Mr. Bryan Lopez, designated secretary to the Cawayan Campus Administrator.

President Millesca’s presence underscored the institution’s commitment to promoting responsible technology use and cultivating values-driven, future-ready engineers at DEBESMSCAT.
