President Issues Work Suspension in bicol SUC DEBESMSCAT Amidst Tropical Depression

Earlier yesterday, October 14, 2020, Dr. Renee A. Lamela, DEBESMSCAT SUC president, has declared suspension of work in connection with an earlier issuance from the Office of the Mayor of Mandaon, Hon. Emily Estipona Hao, the LGU Memorandum No. 1 series of 2020 declaring a preventive suspension of work in all offices within the municipality of Mandaon due to the red rainfall alert in the Province of Masbate brought about by the tropical depression Ofel.

The Office Memorandum No. 69, series of 2020 was issued after the abovementioned LGU memorandum was released by the Office of the President. Following the said issuance, all work in DEBESMSCAT was suspended immediately.

Tropical depression Ofel, with a sustained wind speed of 45 kph and a gustiness of up to 55 kph is moving westward at a speed of 15kph. Around 7 pm last night, Ofel was estimated, based on available data, to be 35 km North of the island of Romblon.

All personnel was advised to return to work today, October 15, 2020.
