DEBESMSCAT Showcases Programs and Milestones at CHED Education Caravan in Mandaon

March 25, 2026- Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) actively participated in the Education Caravan spearheaded by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office V under Project PEPA (Patuloy na Edukasyon, Patuloy na Pag-Ahon), held at the Mandaon Covered Court.

A key highlight of the college’s participation was its Information Booth, which served as an accessible hub for senior high school students and community members seeking guidance on higher education opportunities. In addition to presenting DEBESMSCAT’s academic programs, admission requirements, academic calendar, and student services, the booth also showcased the institution’s significant milestones and achievements from 2023 to 2025, highlighting its continued growth and impact in higher education.

Representing the institution were Ms. Grace B. Abella, Dean of Student Affairs and Services; Ms. Sarah J. Abawag, Director for Admission; along with personnel from the Office of Student Affairs and Services (OSAS). The team engaged directly with students offering personalized assistance and answering inquiries to help them make informed decisions about pursuing tertiary education.

The initiative aligns with the goals of Project PEPA, which aims to expand access to government-funded education programs, including free higher education, tertiary education subsidies, and technical-vocational courses.

To further extend its reach, the event was live-streamed by DEBESMSCAT’s 93.1 Buffalo Radio Station, allowing a wider audience to benefit from the information shared during the caravan.

Through its active participation, DEBESMSCAT reaffirmed its commitment to promoting inclusive education and empowering future students by bringing vital information and its record of accomplishments closer to the community.
