DEBESMSCAT Shines in Grand Parade of 30th Rodeo Masbateño Festival

April 13, 2026 — The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) proudly joined the grand opening parade of the 30th Rodeo Masbateño Festival held at the Masbate Grand Rodeo Arena.

The much-anticipated festival, which highlights the province’s rich cultural heritage and thriving cattle industry, drew a large crowd of spectators and participants from across the country.

Leading the DEBESMSCAT delegation were SUC President III Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, Vice President for Administration and Finance Dr. Erwin H. Malto, and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Elreen A. Delavin. Also joining the DEBESMSCAT float were Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Bicol Regional Director Dir. Rommel R. Serrano, and Central Bicol State University of Agriculture (CBSUA) SUC President IV and PASUC V President Dr. Alberto N. Naperi.

They were accompanied by faculty members, administrative staff, directors, unit heads, and student representatives. As the province’s lone state college and an official partner of the Rodeo Masbateño, DEBESMSCAT reaffirmed its strong support for local cultural and tourism initiatives.

A highlight of the parade was the lively performance of the DEBESMSCAT Marching Band, composed of drums, lyres, bugle corps, and majorettes. Their energetic music and synchronized routines captivated the audience as the parade passed through major streets of Masbate City, from the Provincial Capitol grounds to the Masbate Grandstand.

Also present were DEBESMSCAT delegates who are set to compete in various rodeo events and activities scheduled at the Masbate Grand Rodeo Arena in the coming days.
