Future Educators Go Global: DEBESMSCAT College of Education Joins SEA-Teacher Project at Universitas Negeri Jakarta

The DEBESMSCAT College of Education continues to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence and global engagement as three of its students, Baby Joy S. Anselmo (BSED Mathematics), Eunieza Blesseh D. Tiples (BSED Social Studies), and Danielle M. Reteza (BEED), participate in the Southeast Asian Teacher Project (SEA-Teacher) at Universitas Negeri Jakarta, Indonesia. This initiative, organized by the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (SEAMEO), provides pre-service teachers with international teaching exposure and cross-cultural learning experiences.

Through the SEA-Teacher Project, the selected students will have the opportunity to develop their teaching skills, adapt to diverse classroom settings, and immerse themselves in Indonesian culture. They will engage in classroom observations, lesson planning, teaching demonstrations, and collaboration with local educators. This hands-on experience will enhance their professional competencies and expand their global perspectives in education.

The participation of DEBESMSCAT in this prestigious program marks a significant milestone in its mission to produce globally competitive educators. As the students embark on this transformative journey, they will not only represent DEBESMSCAT but also showcase the quality of teacher education in the Philippines.
