President Millesca Meets with Engineering Faculty to Advance Plans for DEBESMSCAT Engineering and Architectural Design Center (DEADC)

February 11, 2026 — Dr. Arnel B. Millesca met today with the College of Engineering (CENG) faculty, led by Dean Dr. Arnold I. Malag, to finalize the proposal and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) for the DEBESMSCAT Engineering and Architectural Design Center (DEADC). This meeting served as the consultative session to ensure that the center’s operational framework aligns with the expertise and expectations of the college’s professional staff.

The discussion focused on the specific roles faculty members will play as the center transitions from a proposal to a functional entity. This structure ensures that all outputs of the DEADC meet national engineering and architectural standards while providing a platform for faculty to apply their specialized knowledge to real-world challenges.

The DEADC establishment will bridge the gap between academic theory and industry practice, serving as a technical hub for consultancy and innovation within the province. The proposal moves forward for official institutional approval and immediate implementation.
