DEBESMSCAT Soars at the 39th AACCUP National Conference

The Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) marked a strong and meaningful presence on Day 1 of the 39th Annual National Conference and General Assembly of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP), held on March 24, 2026 at the Century Park Hotel, Manila.

The DEBESMSCAT delegation was led by SUC President III Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, whose leadership highlighted the institution’s continued commitment to strengthening quality assurance mechanisms and aligning with national standards in higher education.

A key highlight of the college’s participation was the recognition of Dr. Rodolfo B. Burac Jr., DEBESMSCAT Vice President for Research, Extension, and Innovation, who was conferred the prestigious Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Accreditor Award. The award affirms his significant contributions, expertise, and unwavering dedication to advancing quality assurance mechanisms in Philippine higher education, bringing pride and distinction to the DEBESMSCAT community.

During the conference, CHED Commissioner Hon. Shirley C. Agrupis emphasized the Pillar of ACHIEVE in the Commission on Higher Education, underscoring the critical role of quality assurance in driving transformative education. She highlighted the importance of harmonizing policy, practice, and performance to ensure sustainable and impactful outcomes across higher education institutions.
