April 14, 2026 — The Dr. Emilio B. The second day brought together distinguished plenary speakers from across the Philippines and the international academic community, who shared insights on advancing inclusive, innovative, and sustainable development through research and extension.
Among the featured speakers was Dr. Baby Boy Benjamin D. Nebres III, SUC President IV of Bicol University, who discussed advancing gender-responsive research and extension for inclusive societies. He was followed by Dr. Reginald G. Prof. Moises A. Dorado of the University of the Philippines Los Baños also delivered a plenary lecture focusing on the integration of data, artificial intelligence, and digital technologies to promote equitable development.
Meanwhile, Ms. Maria Teresa L. De Guzman of the Department of Science and Technology–Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST-PCAARRD) highlighted the importance of global collaboration in building climate-resilient and inclusive agri-food systems.
An interactive open forum followed the plenary sessions, providing both onsite and virtual participants the opportunity to engage with the speakers, raise questions, and exchange ideas.
In the afternoon, the conference shifted to parallel research presentations, where participants showcased their studies across various thematic tracks at designated venues, including the Osmeña Colleges session hall and the main plenary hall.
Entries were evaluated by a panel of judges composed of representatives from the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office V, alongside DEBESMSCAT officials, including directors, deans, and vice presidents.
The day concluded with the recognition and awarding of research presenters, acknowledging outstanding contributions in the field of research and extension.
The final day of the 3rd IRODEO Conference on April 15 is expected to culminate with the announcement of winners across different research categories, marking the close of the three-day international academic gathering.
