March 13, 2026 โ The Board of Trustees of Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) successfully held its 114th Regular BOT Meeting at the AACCUP office, Quezon City, addressing key institutional priorities ranging from administrative reforms to infrastructure development.
Originally scheduled at the CHED Central Office in UP Diliman, the meeting was relocated due to an unexpected circumstance. The Board expressed its sincere gratitude to Dr. Milabel E. Ho, Executive Director of AACCUP, and her office for their prompt assistance in hosting the meeting at their board room, ensuring its smooth continuation.
The session opened with the usual preliminaries, including the approval of previous meeting minutes and updates on earlier resolutions. Discussions then moved to major agenda items, particularly under new business.
Among the highlights was the proposed establishment of the Journal of Science, Agriculture, Governance, and Education (JSAGE), aimed at strengthening the institutionโs research initiatives. The Board also reviewed the Strategic Internationalization Plan for 2026โ2030, reflecting DEBESMSCATโs commitment to global academic engagement.
Administrative matters included policy revisions, implementation of a wellness leave program, and key personnel appointments. Financial plans for 2026 and proposals for new research centers, such as those focused on futures research, food innovation, and livestock development, were likewise deliberated.
The Board also confirmed several infrastructure projects, including building improvements, construction of deep wells, and the completion of major campus facilities, amounting to significant institutional investments.
