DEBESMSCAT Strengthens Commitment to Agri-Aqua Innovation at RAISE Summit Week 2025

In a united effort to advance science-driven growth in the agri-aqua sector, the Dr. Emilio B. Espinosa, Sr. Memorial State College of Agriculture and Technology (DEBESMSCAT) reaffirmed its commitment to research and innovation during the RAISE Summit Week 2025, themed “Building Bridges through ALIGNment, CONNECTion, and SYNCHronization for Agri-Aqua Innovation.”

The summit, spearheaded by the DOST-PCAARRD National RAISE Program, convened 94 State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) and Research and Development Institutes (RDIs) from 15 regions nationwide for a week-long exchange of knowledge, collaboration, and policy dialogue.

It served as a dynamic platform to accelerate science-based innovations and strengthen partnerships that promote inclusive and sustainable development across the agricultural and aquatic sectors.

Representing DEBESMSCAT, SUC President III, Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, signed the Pledge of Commitment wall, signifying the institution’s dedication to supporting national initiatives that bridge innovation with development.

DEBESMSCAT’s active participation is further highlighted by the involvement of its Intellectual Property and Technology Business Management (IPTBM) Office, led by Director Engr. Marco Angelo R. Dejucos, who continues to champion research commercialization and knowledge transfer.

Adding to this, Technology Transfer Officer Engr. Alvin M. Ante is set to present the draft Spinoff Policy, a forward-looking initiative designed to empower employee-researchers in establishing enterprises based on their developed technologies.

Through these efforts, DEBESMSCAT reinforces its role as a proactive partner in driving the country’s innovation ecosystem, bridging research and enterprise for the advancement of the agri-aqua industry.
