October 10, 2024 – DEBESMSCAT proudly joined the global observance of World Mental Health Day to raise awareness and support for those dealing with mental health challenges. This day was part of the National Mental Health Week, celebrated from October 7 to 12, with the theme โIt is Time to Prioritize Mental Health in the Workplace.โ In line with this initiative, the ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ฅ๐ฅ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ก ๐๐๐๐ก๐ฉ๐ ๐ผ๐จ๐จ๐ค๐๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ค๐ฃ, ๐๐ฃ๐., a private and non-profit organization, took the lead in promoting mental health education and awareness across the country. The institution demonstrated its commitment to mental health by conducting activities through the ๐๐๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฑ๐บ๐ถ๐๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ and the ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐บ๐ฒ ๐ฆ๐๐๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐ถ๐น.
In the morning, the Guidance Office, headed by Ms. Sarah J. Abawag, together with her staff, visited different offices and engaged employees in mini-games. Participants were asked questions related to mental health, and those who answered correctly received small tokens as rewards. This activity aimed to promote mental health awareness in an interactive and fun way.
In the afternoon, before the Light Up Blue for Mental Health campaign, DEBESMSCAT employees and students gathered in front of the admin building for a 10-minute mindful meditation session. The session focused on deep breathing and mindfulness exercises to promote relaxation and well-being among participants.
Despite the rain before the event, the DEBESMSCAT community successfully gathered for the main highlight of the day: a countdown from 10 to 1, after which the administration building was illuminated in blue to symbolize the institutionโs support for mental health awareness. The event was a resounding success, showing the commitment of the DEBESMSCAT community to mental health advocacy.
DEBESMSCAT continues to emphasize the importance of mental health and well-being, aligning with global and national efforts to make mental health a priority in the workplace and beyond.(DEBESMSCAT PIO)
