DEBESMSCAT welcomes 6,871 students for the 2nd Sem AY 2022-2023

bicol SUC DEBESMSCAT Opening of classes second semester a.y. 22-23

The opening of classes for 2nd semester of the Academic Year 2022-2023 officially started last January 16, 2023, with 6,871 enrolled students for the said semester. With the full implementation of face-to-face classes, students are gradually adapting to the school environment while interacting with their peers and instructors onsite.

Due to the onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, the mode of learning and teaching that was adapted was flexible learning or a combination of modular and online learning. For almost two years since 2020, students were deprived of going to school physically and participating in school activities and programs was greatly limited.

However, in today’s post-COVID-19 environment, students are now allowed to report to school physically and meet their teachers and peers inside a classroom. The lifting of several COVID-19 restrictions also helps in restoring normalcy in the academe.

This new year 2023 holds promising activities and programs for both students and personnel in DEBESMSCAT. Exciting and upcoming events such as the Charter celebration, Rodeo Festival, and several student training seminars and workshops are truly in store for all students, instructors, and personnel in the DEBESMSCAT.

Ladies and gentlemen,

As the newly-installed SUC President of DEBESMSCAT, I am truly humbled and honored to assume this role. It is my goal in my 4-year term to share with you my vision and advocacy, which centers around the power of unity and collaboration, embodied by the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Leadership, to me, is not about commanding from the top or solely relying on individual brilliance. It is about recognizing the immense potential within each member of our institution and harnessing that collective strength to achieve remarkable things. True leadership requires humility, the ability to listen, learn, and empower others.

As we embark on this journey together, my aim is to cultivate an environment where every member of DEBESMSCAT feels valued, respected, and inspired to contribute their best. Together, we can achieve more than any one person could on their own.

I firmly believe that by fostering a culture of teamwork, we can overcome challenges, spark innovation, and bring about transformative change. Each of us possesses unique talents and perspectives that, when combined, form a powerful force for progress. By embracing diversity, encouraging collaboration, and fostering open communication, we can create a vibrant community that thrives on shared achievements.

Furthermore, leadership with humility is at the core of my approach. I understand that my role as President is not one of authority, but rather one of service. I am here to support and uplift every member of the DEBESMSCAT family, working hand in hand to cultivate an environment that promotes personal growth, academic excellence, and holistic development.
