DEBESMSCAT Officials attend Re-Echo Seminar on Procurement Systems and Updates

July 14, 2023 – In line with the present administration’s commitment in upholding transparency, accountability, and good governance, the College initiated a re-echo seminar on procurement systems and updates on July 14, 2023 at the College Function Hall.

Participants for the said activity were deans, staff director, and unit heads of various offices in the College. The re-echo orientation was facilitated by the collaborative effort of various offices such as the office of the Planning and Development Services (PaDS), Supply Office, and Procurement and Development Office, and BAC Committee.

Resource speakers for the event shared their insights and knowledge, addressing key topics such as: Key Features of the Government Procurement Reform Act, Procurement Planning and Budget Linkage, Cost Estimating and Technical Specifications Writing, Standard Bidding Procedures for Goods and Infrastructure Projects, Standard Bidding Procedures for Consulting Services, Alternative Methods of Procurement, and Guidelines on Framework Agreement.

During the orientation, participants actively engaged in discussions, seeking clarification on complex legal issues concerning procurement and sharing their own experiences. The interactive nature of the event encouraged a collaborative environment, fostering knowledge exchange among the attendees.
