DEBESMSCAT leads partnership meeting with Tharaka University of Kenya

July 25, 2024 – DEBESMSCAT initiated a partnership meeting with Tharaka University of Kenya on July 25, 2024, online via Google Meet. The two institutions discussed potential collaboration in the aspects of student and staff mobility, staff development, project development, exchange of academic information and publications, joint research, conduct of extension and immersion activities, and technology exchange.

The DEBESMSCAT delegation was composed of President Arnel Millesca, Vice President for Academic Affairs Elreen Delavin, College of Industrial Technology Dean Elmo Rapsing, Cawayan Campus Director Iris Castillo, Planning and Development Services Director Nenette Laurio, Planning Officer and incoming International Relations Officer Jofer Asilum, and Public Information Officer Genesis Tumbaga. On the other hand, Tharaka University was represented by various members of its faculty and administration, including Collins Sitienei, Daniel Mutegi, Fidelis Ngugi, and Urbanus Ndolo. The partnership meeting was initiated by Øivind Eriksen-Vik of Fagskolen i Oslo og Akershus, a vocational school in Oslo, Norway, and moderated by Jofer Asilum.
