Determined to submit for ISO certification within this year, the college once again invited speaker from AJA Registrar’s, Inc. to talk on another aspect of ISO evaluation on July 31, 2014 at the College Library with the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college as participants. Mr. Kevin T. Castillon, Business Development Officer/ISO Auditor discussed Awareness for the Education Sector of ISO 9001:2008.
The program started with a prayer and national anthem followed by the opening remarks of the Vice president for Administration and Finance, Dr. Efren G. Cajurao. A message from the college president, Dr. Erwin H. Malto, gave emphasis on the need of the college to come up with ISO certification. He challenged everyone to do their part in the fulfillment of this goal. Miss Judith M. Loyola, Quality Assurance Director gave the overview of the activity and introduced the resource person. Mr. Castillon explained all the aspects of management and systems that will be evaluated during the ISO survey as well as the indicators to be checked. An open forum followed where questions about his discussions were entertained. He was given certificate of recognition afterwards. Dr. Prolucen C. Velarde, Vice President for Academic Affairs, gave the closing remarks reminding everyone to participate in meeting the needs of this ISO certification.
