DEBESMSCAT Celebrates Achievements and Recognizes Excellence at the 2024 SUC President’s Address (SPreAd) and Awards Night

The DEBESMSCAT community came together on May 17, 2024, for the SUC President’s Address (SPreAd) and Awards Night. This momentous occasion served as a platform to celebrate the administration’s accomplishments over the past year and recognize the outstanding efforts of different colleges/office/unit and employees within DEBESMSCAT.

Dr. Arnel B. Millesca, DEBESMSCAT President, delivered a heartfelt speech outlining the administration’s key achievements during his first year in office. He detailed the initiatives undertaken and the positive outcomes achieved, demonstrating the administration’s commitment to progress.
The SPreAd and Awards Night wasn’t just about reflecting on the past year; it was also about celebrating excellence. A highlight of the event was the recognition ceremony that honored outstanding offices/units and employees who consistently delivered exceptional results. Their dedication and hard work were instrumental in propelling DEBESMSCAT forward.

Message from the President

Ladies and gentlemen,

As the newly-installed SUC President of DEBESMSCAT, I am truly humbled and honored to assume this role. It is my goal in my 4-year term to share with you my vision and advocacy, which centers around the power of unity and collaboration, embodied by the acronym TEAM: Together Everyone Achieves More.

Leadership, to me, is not about commanding from the top or solely relying on individual brilliance. It is about recognizing the immense potential within each member of our institution and harnessing that collective strength to achieve remarkable things. True leadership requires humility, the ability to listen, learn, and empower others.

As we embark on this journey together, my aim is to cultivate an environment where every member of DEBESMSCAT feels valued, respected, and inspired to contribute their best. Together, we can achieve more than any one person could on their own.

I firmly believe that by fostering a culture of teamwork, we can overcome challenges, spark innovation, and bring about transformative change. Each of us possesses unique talents and perspectives that, when combined, form a powerful force for progress. By embracing diversity, encouraging collaboration, and fostering open communication, we can create a vibrant community that thrives on shared achievements.

Furthermore, leadership with humility is at the core of my approach. I understand that my role as President is not one of authority, but rather one of service. I am here to support and uplift every member of the DEBESMSCAT family, working hand in hand to cultivate an environment that promotes personal growth, academic excellence, and holistic development.
